It’s important to have enough items in stock in Nightingale, but if your inventory gets too full you’ll want to move some of those items to make room for more, so knowing how to split your stacks is essential. Here’s how to do it!
How to Split Stacks in Nightingale
Items automatically stack in your inventory when you pick them up in the world, which makes it easy to organize, but if you only want to use a small amount of those items or store half of them, you’ll want a way to split those stacks. Unfortunately, you can only do that while moving items to another storage or crafting station.
While at a storage container or crafting station (like the campfire), you can grab the item you want to split from your inventory and drag it to a slot in the other menu. Hold Shift to split the stack and adjust the slider by the amount you want to move.
This makes it easier to leave some items in storage while only taking a few with you to craft or take with you on your journey. However, if you drag them back with the other stack, the items will automatically merge back together, but I would always recommend leaving a few in storage instead of carrying them all in your inventory. You can even place the storage closer to a crafting station for easier use.
