Multitasking on Chromebooks has never been easier, thanks to the Split Screen feature. In this guide, we’ll walk you through four different ways to split your Chromebook’s screen to use two apps at once.
Split your screen on a Chromebook!
The Show windows key is located at the F5 spot on your keyboard. It’s the key with a rectangle and two horizontal lines on the right side. Pressing the button will bring up Chrome Overview mode, which shows you all of the open apps, windows, and desktops on your Chromebook. You can move apps from the overview screen into a multi-window setup. Let’s take a look at how that works.
1. Launch the apps you want to use in split-screen mode.
2. Press the Show Windows button (located at the F5 position) on your Chromebook's keyboard.
