This article explains how to get messages sent to your Hotmail email address using macOS Mail. Although Hotmail has been discontinued, users with Hotmail email addresses can still retrieve messages from Outlook.com, which Mail automatically accesses.

If you have an active Hotmail email address, you can quickly set it up in Mac Mail.

Select the Mail icon in your Mac's Dock. (You can also find this icon in Launchpad or in your Applications folder.)

From the Mail menu, select Add Account.
