This article covers the different processes for taking a screenshot on Surface Pro two-in-one devices. It explains how to take a screenshot on Surface Pro both with and without a keyboard or type cover attached, along with several alternate methods and shortcuts for capturing content on the screen.
All Surface Pros: How to Take a Screenshot (Print Screen, Screen Capture)
If you’re using your Surface Pro as a tablet without a Type Cover or Bluetooth keyboard, there are three primary ways to take screenshots. The first method is via the physical buttons on the top of the Surface Pro, the second is through the Snip & Sketch app, and the third is activated entirely by the Surface Pen accessory.
The fastest way to take a screenshot on Surface Pro models, or any other type of Surface two-in-one device, is to use the physical buttons.
On a Surface Pro 4 or newer, press and hold the Power and Volume Up buttons to take a screenshot. If done correctly, the screen should flash to indicate the screenshot has been taken.
