Notifications in macOS or OS X Mountain Lion (10.8) and later keep you updated on calendar events, emails, messages, and more. But sometimes those incoming notifications can be distracting and pull you away from the things you need to do. Apple offers Do Not Disturb, a feature that lets you silence all those notifications when you need to.

To enable Do Not Disturb mode on a Mac, follow these instructions.
Find the Notification Center icon in the menu bar (top right corner of the screen).
