How to TURN OFF or Force Shut Down your MacBook Air M2
All Mac notebooks have the power button in the upper-right corner of the keyboard or, if your Mac has a Touch Bar, on the right side of the Touch Bar. The problem is that some models don’t have the power icon on the power button. The same button is used for Touch ID on models that support that feature, and a printed icon can interfere with reading a fingerprint.
To turn on your Mac, press the power button or touch the right side of the Touch Bar until the screen comes to life and the login fields appear.
