Bad News About Windows Recall & How to Disable It
Because Recall is integrated into the system, there’s no way to remove it like you would with a third-party app. But it can be disabled, rendering it as good as dead. Here’s how to do that:
You can also pause Recall from capturing snapshots. To do this, click the Recall icon in the system tray and click Pause until tomorrow.
When paused, you will see a slash over the Recall system tray icon. Snapshots will automatically resume at 12:00 AM.
