Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero is a love letter to the franchise, and part of what makes it so great is the various Sparking Episodes and alternate endings you can unlock. They’re often born from difficult battles, test your mastery of the game, and lead to exciting and wild alternate storylines. Follow our guide to unlocking them all.

As the protagonist of the series, Goku has more Sparking Episodes and alternate endings than anyone else. Buckle up, because you're going to be playing as him for a while.

Right off the bat in Goku's Episode Battle mode, you're given a choice: fight Raditz with Piccolo or go at it alone. If you go the canon route but defeat Raditz quickly, you'll unlock the first Sparking Episode for Goku. The fight is tough, just like in the anime. If you're having trouble beating him in time, head into the customization menu and equip Goku (Z-Early) with some ability capsules to give him a boost and give you the edge you need.

Once you unlock it, you'll continue along the story path previously teased during Sparking! Zero's marketing when Goku went Super Saiyan on Earth against Vegeta. It doesn't stop there, though, and takes even more twists and turns.
