What would Batman be without his greatest villain? Well, MultiVersus doesn't attempt to answer that question, as you can unlock and play as the Joker.

Joker was one of several characters added during the May 28 relaunch of MultiVersus, and he's not locked into fancy events or modes like Agent Smith's first appearance. The Clown Prince of Crime is a tricky fighter who uses toys and jokes to secure victory. Unlocking Joker in MultiVersus is also a bit of a joke.

Joker is available once you open MultiVersus through the game's Fighter Store, where you can spend in-game currency to purchase unlockable characters at any time during the game.

Most characters in the Fighter Store cost the same amount to purchase. For Joker, this means you can pay 3,000 Fighter Currency or 1,000 Gleamium, both of which can be earned through gameplay, though the latter is also a microtransaction. If you played the MultiVersus beta, you may still have a few Character Tickets left over, which can also be used to unlock fighters in the full version.
