Microsoft Excel is packed with features. One of those features is the ability to protect your Excel files at the cell, spreadsheet, or workbook level. Sometimes it is necessary to remove protection from Excel workbooks to ensure that data changes are applied correctly.
This method assumes that you, as the owner of the file, know the password used to protect the spreadsheet.
Open the protected spreadsheet and select Review > Unprotect Sheet. Alternatively, right-click the protected spreadsheet and select Unprotect Sheet.
