More recent versions of the GoPro make it pretty easy to use as a webcam. All you need is a Mac or Windows device, your smartphone, a USB-C cable, and your GoPro.
Update your GoPro firmware to the latest version. Select your camera in the GoPro app, tap the three dots in the corner, and choose Update Firmware. Follow the steps as needed.
Download and install GoPro's webcam utility. To fully install it in Windows, you will need to restart your computer.
