If you’re freaked out by your friends honking their horns at the sky and ruining your perfect Hades speedrun at 3am in your group chat, chances are they’re using the Discord soundboard. Which would make you want to use it too.
The Ultimate Discord Soundboard #Shorts
Discord’s in-app soundboard allows users to play five-second clips in their voice channels. As you can imagine, the creativity of these sound clips can vary wildly. So make sure to use well-timed audio cues to follow up your jokes, like using wave claps after your poorly timed joke to make it seem genuinely funny; even if it probably wasn’t that hilarious.
Discord servers come with eight pre-loaded sound slots, but you can increase their size by boosting your server. More recently, Discord loot boxes also came with a variety of sound effects, but users couldn’t save them.
After you’ve had a conversation on Discord or simply joined a server and joined a voice channel, you should see a sound icon in the bottom left of your screen. Click it to open the soundboard, then click on one of the six free sound effects to use them.
