You can start the AirDrop feature in two ways: in the Settings app or in Control Center. The service works via Bluetooth, so senders and receivers need to be close to each other: within 30 feet and preferably closer.
On your iPhone, open the Control Center by swiping down from the top-right corner of the screen.
Press and hold the section with the Airplane mode, wireless, cellular, and Bluetooth icons to expand the section.
