This article explains how to use the clipboard on Android using the built-in tool. It also covers how to access your clipboard history using Gboard and Clipper. You don't need to use a clipboard manager to use the Android clipboard.
The clipboard is a space in memory where you temporarily store information that you have copied or cut from a document, web page, etc.
When you copy and paste on Android, you use the clipboard. It’s simple: Tap and hold some text until it becomes highlighted. Adjust the selection to add or remove things to copy, then tap Copy in the pop-up menu. To paste that content somewhere else, tap and hold an empty text field in an app and choose Paste.
The clipboard only contains the most recently copied/cut item, so you can't keep copying item after item and choosing what to paste later. Instead, you can use a third-party app to replace the built-in clipboard and extend its copy and cut capabilities.
