This article explains how to set up and use Google Find My Device on your smartphone or tablet. Instructions apply to Android devices from Google, Huawei, Xiaomi, and most others, except Samsung, which uses a different process.

Here's how to check if you've set up your device correctly.

Swipe down twice from the top of the screen to access Quick Settings and make sure Wi-Fi or Mobile Data is turned on (or both).

Tap Google > Google Account.
