This article explains how to use Do apps from If This Then That (IFTTT), which let you set up automated tasks by choosing one channel (Facebook, Gmail, etc.) to activate another. IFTTT's new suite of apps—Do Button, Do Camera, and Do Note—give users more options for quick task automation.
With the Do Button app, you can select up to three recipes and create buttons for them. Then, whenever you want to trigger a recipe, tap the button for IFTTT to complete the task immediately.
You can swipe left and right between recipe buttons for quick and easy access. It's a bit like a remote control for your recipes.
When you open the Do Button app, it may suggest a recipe for you to get started. For example, the app might suggest a recipe that emails a random animated GIF image.
