Unless you’re super prepared, you probably don’t travel with a tape measure. That makes it hard to measure that piece of furniture you found at a flea market or figure out if a shipping box will fit in the trunk of your car. Luckily, there’s a handy app called Google Measure.

Once you have the Google Measure app installed on your phone, it’s easy to use. It’ll be a little different the first time around, as you can set options (like how you want the Display Units to appear: imperial or metric). After that, you can start measuring things right away when you open the app.

Download Google Measure from the Google Play Store, launch the app and grant it permission to use your camera and phone memory.

Tap the three dots to open the settings. Change the display of units if necessary.
