A casting device or set-top box can be any device that plugs into the HDMI port on your HDTV, such as a Google Chromecast, Roku, Apple TV, or Amazon Fire TV. These hardware devices let you “throw” or cast video to your TV, or they come with a built-in app that you can browse directly from your TV screen.
For example, with both the mobile app and the desktop version of Hulu, you can tap or click the Chromecast button to cast the video you're watching directly to your HDTV.
