When Phil Grandinetti was selling books door to door during college summers, he had no idea he would eventually lead a global company known for its Apple Watch bands.
Gary Shilling explains the only way to beat the market and win
Created with Grandinetti’s roommate David Nelson and Bill Devaney (not his roommate), WITHit is a company you’ve probably never heard of. But you’ve probably seen their products at Walmart, Target, Best Buy, Macy’s, and online.
Founded in 2004, WITHit makes booklights that are sold in Borders and Barnes and Noble. Las Vegas-based WITHit also designs wearable tech accessories for Apple, Samsung, Garmin and Fitbit wearables.
This is a pretty crowded space as you can imagine, with a lot of competition. However, WITHit has built their business by focusing on quality gear for much less than the brand name stuff.
