Even with one of the best anti-cheat systems in the industry, VALORANT isn’t exactly free from hackers. While Riot Vanguard manages to punish most of the tactical shooter’s offenders, the community isn’t content to be complacent in releasing those who fuel the practice – players who pay to be boosted by cheaters.

On May 19, a player shared their disturbing experience against an enemy named Jett who dropped 54 kills with 97 percent headshots in a ranked VALORANT game. Interestingly enough, while the cheating was “obvious,” they noted that the cheater teamed up with four other players not once, but regularly.
After investigating their Tracker.gg pages, the player came to a disturbing conclusion. "It seems like the person with the cheats just switches accounts when the previous one gets banned, and yet the people he boosts don't get punished at all," they shared. "Getting boosted is one thing, but getting boosted by a cheater? Every match is the same 4 people + the 40 kills & 90% hs cheater on different accounts."
Cheating in video games is serious, but those who promote it without cheating themselves are just as guilty – and it seems like Riot isn't doing enough to deal with the latter group. It goes without saying that cheating will continue to exist if we don't eliminate the demand.
