HP has announced several new devices specifically designed for hybrid work environments (or just work environments). These devices include a 4K webcam, a 4K display, an all-in-one desktop, and a folio laptop/tablet.
HP unveils new devices for enhanced hybrid work
HP’s first new device, the Dragonfly Folio G3, is the most hybrid-friendly of the bunch (both conceptually and literally). It uses a pull-forward structure for smooth transitions between the three configurations and packs an 8MP camera with a 100-degree field of view that’s better suited for video calling. The new folio also uses Dynamic Voice Leveling to keep voice audio clear. Performance isn’t bad, either, with Intel vPro processors, upgraded LPDDR5 memory (up to 32GB), and the option for up to 2TB of internal storage.
As for the 34-inch all-in-one Desktop PC, HP says that the aim is to offer a “studio-like experience” that supports dual video streaming and easy camera switching, something it believes is ideal for showcasing both yourself and your work during online meetings. It comes with a 16MP detachable camera that can be positioned in a variety of positions, and of course, it comes with a 34-inch display. More specifically, a 34-inch 5K display, while also packing Intel vPro processors and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX GPU.
And then there’s the Z32k G3 4K USB-C display, which HP calls “the world’s first IPS Black display with Thunderbolt 4 technology.” It’s said to offer deeper darks, more vibrant colors, and a wider color gamut, all while projecting in ultra-high 4K resolution.
