Huawei is no stranger to foldable phones. This year alone, they have plans to launch three foldable phones and it looks like they won’t be stopping there. Recent reports indicate that Huawei has patented a few new designs for its upcoming foldable phones and a quick look tells us where they’re headed.
Huawei's groundbreaking tri-fold phone: What we know so far!
Huawei appears to have implemented the same clamshell folding design as in the latest Huawei Pocket 2 in all the patent designs, along with two circular modules: one for the cameras and one for the cover display.
In the first set of patents, Huawei appears to be following a similar aesthetic, but with different module placements. The patents reflect designs in which circular modules are placed vertically, horizontally, and diagonally, with the latter featuring rings of different sizes.
While nothing can be confirmed from patent designs alone, one might assume that the larger module is the front display, while the smaller module houses the cameras.
