It's hard to think of a bigger Marvel Snap update than the one that went live today.
RIP Loki… The biggest balance patch we've had in a while.
Snap's August 1st OTA update is all about balancing decks that have become popular since Arishem joined the game, including major changes to some of Snap's most popular cards.
Loki, now a three/five, will now also "replace your deck with your opponent's starting deck" and "give those cards a -1 cost and draw a card", meaning this is essentially a rework of the card that was previously dominant in several metas.
"It took a few shots to get Loki in the right place, but it served its purpose," said Second Dinner. "But over time, our preference for using Loki as a buildaround for decks that generate extra cards has changed. It's proven too suffocating for cards like Snowguard and Agent Coulson, which can't really stand on their own anywhere, and also for future designs we've been working on internally."
