Creative people can now make music and watch movies more easily than ever thanks to Apple's recently updated iOS versions of iMovie and GarageBand.
The new update brings support for HDR videos on the recently launched iPhone 12. For filmmakers, the iMovie update includes new ways to customize titles, multiple movie backgrounds, and a slider that lets users adjust the intensity of photo and video filters. GarageBand users get the ability to quickly start audio recording and a new sound pack.
“It’s also going to be great for those who are just getting started with content creation,” Catherine Consiglio, who runs the tech-enthusiast site RaidBuff, said in an email interview. “Chances are they’re already starting out filming on their phones anyway, so being able to cut, edit and upload from there makes content creation much more accessible, especially when money is so tight for so many people these days.”
Movie buffs are getting a bunch of goodies for iMovie with this update. Users can customize titles by choosing from dozens of built-in fonts. There’s also the option to choose from three new animated titles: Slide, Split, and dual-color Chromatic.
