Niantic has warned Pokémon Go players not to attempt Gigantamax raids on their own, saying it is "impossible" to emerge victorious without help from others.

Gigantamax makes its debut in Pokémon Go on October 26 with the arrival of Gigantamax Charizard, Venusaur, and Blastoise. The raid battles against these bosses are the largest ever in the game, with up to 40 players.

Gathering such a large group for a battle is a difficult task. Many players, especially those in rural areas, want to defeat Gigantamax Pokémon on their own. However, there is bad news for players who want to go it alone.

According to Kathy Woo, senior product manager for Pokémon Go, defeating a Gigantamax Pokémon without help is "impossible" and the feature is "designed for playing with others," to encourage players to seek help from their local communities.
