But the Insta360 One X2 is one of a new breed of cameras that aims to uphold this age-old truth by capturing absolutely everything around it in a single spherical image. This opens up a wealth of possibilities, from handy editing tips to easily capturing VR experiences.
The Insta360 One X2 is a sturdy, sturdy rectangular thing. It’s compact enough to fit in a large pocket, and feels fairly robust and durable, though those domed glass lens elements mean you still need to handle it with some care. Thankfully, it comes with a sleek neoprene case, which provides a reassuring bit of extra protection for when you just want to carry the camera in your pocket.
The Insta360 also includes a microfiber cleaning cloth, which is definitely handy, since those lenses tend to attract smudges and dust. You also get a USB-C cable for charging, though there’s no charging brick included.
