Meta announced Monday that Instagram is getting a number of new chat features, including editing posts and pinning chats.

You can now edit your posts on Instagram up to 15 minutes after sending them, Meta said, by simply pressing and holding on the post itself. Just choose “edit” from the dropdown menu that appears.
If you want to keep track of specific conversations, you can also pin up to three group or one-on-one chats to the top of your messages list. To do this, simply swipe left (or tap and hold) on the chat itself and tap the pin option. You can unpin a thread at any time, Meta said.
If you like knowing when people have read your messages, or if you’re a monster who likes to keep people guessing, you can also turn read receipts on or off. You’ll need to go into your account settings, tap on Posts & story reactions, and then tap on Show read receipts. You can turn them on or off for all of your chats from here.
