Meta just released an update for Instagram with new features for the Collab toolset and music sharing options.
How to use the Instagram Collabs feature
First, the Collab feature has gotten a real overhaul. You can now invite up to three friends to co-author posts, carousels, or even reels. These collaborative posts will appear on each user’s profile to maximize engagement. Both private and public accounts can be added as collaborators to a post or reel. If you have a private account, start your own post or reel and invite anyone you want. They’ll be added as long as they follow you back.
This is a big problem, because the Collab feature has been severely limited up until now, with only one co-author and a much more limited toolset. Carousels were also not available for collaboration.
Speaking of photo carousels, this feature already shows a series of your favorite photos and videos, but now you can add music to it. Meta says this is a great tool for "sharing a collection of summer memories with friends or moments from your camera roll."
