Intel on Monday announced the next generation of Core processors: the 14th generation Core i9, i7 and i5.
Intel Launches Intel Core 14th Gen Enthusiast Desktop Processor Family
The newsmaker of the group is the Core i9-14900K, which Intel claims has the “world’s fastest desktop frequencies,” hitting speeds of 6GHz. The most interesting of the offerings, however, could be the Core i7-14700K, which Intel says has 25 percent more cores than the previous generation.
The Core i9-14900K is designed specifically for gamers, and Intel claims the "processors enable an immersive gaming experience with up to 23% better gaming performance compared to leading competitors' processors."
The Core i9-14900K also supports AI-assisted overclocking using Intel's Extreme Tuning Utility (XTU), which can analyze system resources to recommend the best overclocking settings.
