Apple's iPhone 16 event in September!
After a long history of iOS updates, Apple released iOS 16 on September 12. iOS 16 first appeared in June at WWDC 2022.
If your phone is compatible with iOS 16 (see below for a list of supported devices), the easiest way to get the iOS update wirelessly is through Settings > General > Software Update.
iOS updates are always free! Not all phones are compatible (see below), but for those who can install it, there is no charge.
