How to Fix Flashlight Not Working on iPhone After iOS 18 Update

The flashlight beam width feature in iOS 18 is only available on certain iPhone models. Specifically, it works on:

These models feature Adaptive True Tone flash hardware, which features 9 LEDs in a 3×3 grid system that controls which areas of the flash are illuminated. This, combined with the multi-piece lens, allows for selective illumination of the LEDs and therefore adjustment of the beam width. Other iPhone models, including the standard iPhone 14, iPhone 15, and iPhone 16, do not have this capability.
