Unlike regular iPhones, Apple doesn’t release new versions of the SE every year. The last iPhone SE was launched in March 2022. The second-generation SE came out in April 2020, and the original debuted in March 2016.
This release pattern means we shouldn’t expect the SE 4 until 2024, with some rumors predicting even later. According to a thread from analyst Ming-Chi Kuo in February, Apple originally wanted to launch the new iPhone SE in 2024, but the company has since restarted; this delay will push the eventual release to 2025.
"Apple has rebooted the iPhone SE 4 and will use an in-house 5G baseband chip," the report said. "A significant drop in Apple orders from Qualcomm in the near future is a foregone conclusion."
