YouTuber Jon Prosser first hinted at a larger iPhone SE in 2020, but quickly pushed the release date back to 2021. While it never happened, it's important to note that Prosser regularly makes early predictions that later come to fruition.
Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo predicted in 2021 that Apple would launch a phone called the SE Plus that year, with a display potentially as large as the 6.1-inch iPhone 13 Pro.
Then, in late 2021, display analyst Ross Young used "iPhone SE Plus" as a name for a 2022 iPhone. However, he also guessed the SE 3 would arrive in 2024, but that didn't arrive until March 2022.
