Popular invite-only audio app Clubhouse has been hosting conversations that Android users can’t access for over a year. But that looks set to change soon.
How to get Clubhouse on Android
Clubhouse recently announced that it has entered beta testing for Android, bringing the app one step closer to being available to those without an Apple device.
The timeline has led some to question whether Clubhouse is overdue for wider adoption, given the recent launch of Twitter's new audio chatrooms called Spaces and other platforms putting their own spin on the format for Android users. Still, some experts believe Clubhouse's expansion to Android will still be a big deal, despite growing competition.
“While rivals like Twitter Spaces had already rolled out [for Android], Clubhouse has built a loyal community and culture that will set it apart from the competition,” digital marketing strategist Laurie Wang told Lifewire in an email.
