League of Legends’ new Swarm game mode has quickly become a fan favorite. This Vampire Survivors-inspired addition has players wondering if they’ll be able to enjoy the fast-paced action on mobile anytime soon.
How to Play League of Legends: SWARM on Your Mobile Phone Android iPhone
It’s easy to see why many would be eager to have the game mode on their smartphones or tablets. Swarm’s simple controls and addictive gameplay are well-suited to mobile gaming. Riot Games has a track record of bringing popular PC experiences to mobile platforms, with the likes of League Arena and even TFT and LoR to a certain extent. If a game mode gains enough traction, there’s always a chance we’ll see it on our phones at some point.
Right now, the short answer is no. Riot has yet to announce any plans to bring Swarm to mobile. But don’t lose hope: there’s still a chance it could happen.
While we can’t play Swarm on mobile right now, there are a few reasons to be optimistic. Riot has shown a willingness to adapt successful PC game modes for mobile. Wild Rift, the mobile version of League, has already adopted other game modes from PC. For example, Arena mode came to Wild Rift in October-November 2023, just a few months after its PC debut in July 2023. This quick turnaround shows that Riot can adapt PC content for mobile if it so chooses.
