Agent Smith was a surprise addition to the MultiVersus roster when he was revealed in early May 2024. His addition was great news for fans of The Matrix, many of whom are hoping that Neo will also make an appearance in the future.

It would make a lot of sense. Neo is the main character of the series, and it would be strange if Agent Smith represented the Matrix saga instead of the main heroes, like Neo or even Morpheus.
As of this writing, there is still no news on Neo or the many other characters rumored to be joining the lineup soon. Will he ever appear?
