The Rising Tide is the second expansion for Final Fantasy XVI, a story that finally addresses the "lost" Eikon Clive and his group as they've been hinting at, along with combat improvements, better gear, and more abilities. But with the world of Valisthea being as large as it is, many may be wondering if there will be another DLC for FF16.
Final Fantasy 16: The Rising Tides DLC – How to Break Leviathan's Bubble in FF Mode Difficulty Guide
After playing the game for over 90 hours and counting, it's hard to call it a complete game. While Clive's story is neatly resolved in the base game and Valisthea's lore is wrapped up with The Rising Tide, there's still a lot left unfinished. Like Cid and his time as Lord Commander in Waloed, or Joshua during the years he went missing. I'd even go for an epilogue DLC featuring Jill and Torgal, exploring a changed world.
But does that happen? Not likely.
Final Fantasy has always told stories centered around a single hero. When a mainline title wanted to tell stories from the perspective of another character, they made a new game, like FF7: Crisis Core or Final Fantasy X-2. Once again, Clive’s story is complete and all the missing pieces in his overarching storyline are filled in with Echoes of the Fallen and Rising Tide.
