The Vision Pro is an augmented/virtual reality headset from Apple. It starts at $3,499, which is significantly more than other VR headsets like the $500 Meta Quest 3. Why is it so much more?
First, there’s a lot of incredibly advanced tech inside, like a 23-million-pixel Micro OLED display (for comparison, a 4K display has about 8.3 million pixels); Apple’s M2 chip, which has an eight-core CPU and a 10-core GPU; and a brand-new, custom-designed, low-latency (12ms) R1 chip.
