Wuthering Waves may be the first game you hear about from developers Kuro Games. However, they have a different title: Punishing Gray Raven. Due to the similarities between the two, there has been some confusion as to whether these two titles are connected, and whether Wuthering Waves is a sequel to Punishing Gray Raven.

Wuthering Waves is not a sequel to Punishing Gray Raven. While the titles are similar in that they are both gacha games, they focus primarily on fast-paced, real-time, action-oriented combat and your party consists of three characters; the story, lore, characters, elements, and even the world are vastly different.

While there are many more differences between the two games, these are the most notable. While PGR and WuWa have similar premise and features, they are two separate games and are not related in any way.
