Raids are the highlight of Destiny 2’s endgame. These sprawling, six-player activities are fun to play and yield some of the best loot in the game — except when it comes to armor.

In a July 29 Reddit thread, Destiny 2 players pointed out that it's "insane" that raids don't have guaranteed high-stat armor drops. Currently, armor drops from raids are the same as any other activity, meaning you're likely going to get a low-60 roll that belongs in the trash. The best thing you can do with raid armor is dismantle it and use it for transmog.
"It should be the hardest activity in the game, it should give rewards that match. Artifice armor should also come from master mode. But 61 stat points with zero spikes is not enough," the poster of the thread wrote.
Earning high stat raid armor would also finally allow you to use raid mods. These mods are exclusive to use in specific raids on respective armor, and at this point there is no reason to use them because you would have to trade away your double or triple 100 stats for low armor rolls, which isn't worth it.
