The long-awaited second DLC for Final Fantasy 16, The Rising Tides, is now live and available to download on PlayStation. It includes roughly 10 hours of new content, including a new region to explore and a questline to complete.
Final Fantasy 16: The Rising Tides DLC – How to Break Leviathan's Bubble in FF Mode Difficulty Guide
The Rising Tides DLC is an intriguing mix of excitement and sadness. Once you absorb some of the new Eikon, Leviathan, from his current Dominant—who happens to be a baby frozen in time—you’ll be able to experience brand new Eikon abilities like Tsunami, Abyssal Tear, Cross Swell, Deluge, and Serpent’s Cry.
How Leviathan ended up this way, I’ll leave for you to discover once you start and progress through the Rising Tide questline. But it’s not all bad, as you find people long thought dead and unlock a new region called Mysidia, which has been hidden behind a wall of glamour all this time.
There are a few things you’ll want to do before you get started. Before you begin your Rising Tides DLC adventure, you’ll want to make sure that Clive is around level 50. This is crucial, as many of the enemies you’ll encounter in this new region will be level 50 or higher. If you purchased the Echoes of the Fallen Expansion Pass, the first DLC, I recommend completing that before starting the Rising Tides DLC. This is because it will give you better gear, help you gain experience quickly, and allow you to craft the Omega Weapon, a powerful weapon that will come in handy on your journey across Mysidia.
