Apple’s new virtual Product Skills sessions may not be ideal for seasoned Apple users, but they make for an excellent introductory course for those new to the Mac or iPhone.
Exposing Ourselves with Remi, Alisha, Oli + Cal – PRETTY BASIC – EP. 265
I signed up for two virtual Product Skills sessions on using a Mac and using an iPhone, hoping to learn new things about the products I’ve been using for over a decade. While I did learn a few new things, the sessions are definitely geared toward a brand new Apple user.
As someone who has owned a few iterations of Apple products over the last 15 years, these sessions were of little use. However, for someone new to Apple or older generations who aren’t as tech-savvy, these sessions can be helpful.
The Product Skills sessions normally take place in person at Apple Stores, but the company recently started opening virtual sessions so more people can access support during the pandemic.
