In the years that followed, he built a network of contributors for Yahoo! Sports, where he also reported and wrote articles. After Yahoo!, he spent time managing content and social media for CableLabs, which sets specifications and standards for every piece of technology related to the cable industry.
From there, he joined MapQuest in 2014, where he built a travel editorial website, much of it coding himself. In 2017, he returned to his love of writing and has been at it ever since.
James received his MFA in Writing and Poetics from the Jack Kerouac School of Disembodied Poetics at Naropa University in Boulder, CO. He previously earned a Bachelor's Degree in English with minors in Political Science and Philosophy. He has also completed several coding classes and online courses.
