This article explains what a JAVA file is and how to open it on your computer or convert it to a KT, JAVA or EXE file.
Java File Input/Output – It's Much Easier Than You Think
A file with the JAVA file extension (or less commonly, the .JAV suffix) is a Java source code file written in the Java programming language. It is a plain text file format that is fully readable in a text editor and is essential to the entire process of building Java applications.
A JAVA file is used by a Java compiler to create Java class files (.CLASS), which are usually binary files and not human-readable. If the source code file contains multiple classes, each class is compiled into its own CLASS file.
It is the CLASS file that is then converted into an executable application with the file extension JAR. These Java archives make it easier to store and distribute CLASS files and other application resources such as images and sounds.
