The rivalry between Faker and Jensen in the mid lane dates back to the golden age of League of Legends, when both players faced off against each other many times, with only one outcome: Faker's total domination.

Of the last 10 encounters, Faker has won all of them, while Jensen has yet to win a match against Korea's Azir. The rivalry began when Jensen sent out a tweet in 2016 before playing Faker saying "can't wait to clap Faker :D." That tweet is terribly outdated, as T1 swept FlyQuest in record time to complete LoL's fastest ever international best-of-three at the 2024 Mid-Season Invitational in Chengdu, China.
Jensen, FlyQuest's current mid laner, spoke candidly about the rivalry in an interview with PentaQ Esports.
"I've played against Faker many times, but the results always seem to be the same," Jensen said. "What's different this time (against T1)? I don't know. I feel like in the old days, many years ago, when you played against the best Korean and Chinese teams, you didn't really have a chance." The difference in skill between the Eastern and Western League teams Jensen is referring to is evident in their performances against each other.
