Johnny Chew has been writing about animation for Lifewire for nearly three years. Chew is a freelance director and animator who has worked in the animation industry since 2006 at various studios, doing work ranging from educational animation for children to video game animation to motion graphics and design work.
During this time, he also worked as a freelancer for TedEd Creative, producing short educational videos, working on several music videos, and running a short-lived animated series for Mondo on YouTube.
