The upcoming reboot of “Scare Tactics” has set its official premiere date.

The horror-comedy prank series will premiere October 4 at 10 p.m. ET on USA Network, and will be concurrently broadcast on fellow NBCUniversal networks Bravo, Syfy and E!. The series' return was originally announced in July.

The new version of the series is hosted by Flip, who is described as “a spooky pre-teen obsessed with horror movies and fascinated by human fear.”

Like the original show, each episode of “Scare Tactics” will follow unsuspecting people as they are set up by family and friends to be plunged into staged horror scenarios that are all captured on hidden cameras. According to NBCUniversal, the show will feature both regular people and guest stars, such as WWE’s The New Day, who believe they are part of a promotional event featuring current WWE Universal Champion Cody Rhodes.
