The fourth and final night of the Democratic National Convention averaged 26.2 million viewers, driven by a speech by presidential candidate Kamala Harris. The audience was 28.9 million.

That's a big improvement over the stable viewing figures of the first three nights: Nielsen estimated 20 million people watched on Monday, followed by 20.8 million on Tuesday and 20.2 million on Wednesday.

Of the average of 26.2 million, 1.4 million were between the ages of 18 and 34. That is an increase from the 968,000 of the night before.

Each estimate takes into account a wide range of networks. Monday’s includes ABC, CBS, NBC, Scripps News, Univision, CNN, CNNe, FOX Business, FOX News Channel, MSNBC, Newsmax, NewsNation and PBS, while Tuesday’s and Wednesday’s include the same minus Univision. Thursday’s estimate includes Univision, Telemundo and each of the other networks previously measured.
