KillDisk is a free data destruction program that can securely erase any file on a hard drive. It can be installed on a Windows, Linux, or Mac computer, and can also be booted from a disk.

Since KillDisk can be run from a disk, you can even use it to wipe a hard drive that has your operating system installed on it.

You can use KillDisk from a disk or from within the operating system as a normal program. Boot Disk Creator is what you need to open to create the bootable program.

If you use the bootable version, you can wipe an entire hard drive at once (even if there is an operating system installed on it), but the interface is text only. This is in contrast to the installable version, which allows you to wipe things like flash drives or other internal hard drives. This version has a graphical interface like a normal program.
