The best alternative to Apple's Lightning cable: better price and better quality!
Anyone living in a household where only Apple devices work has undoubtedly had Lightning cables lying around. Apple’s official cables usually work wonders too, but they’re short, more expensive than the competition, and not the most durable cables we’ve ever used.
Fortunately, the aforementioned competition is fierce, vying for the third-party Lightning cable of choice. One such compelling option is from Kinps, which makes a Lightning to USB cable that’s 10 feet long, more durable than some rivals thanks to its braided nylon exterior, and very reasonably priced. If it holds up as well as Kinps suggests, this is sure to be one of the best Lightning cables out there.
You can’t do everything with a charging cable, but Kinps’ Lightning cable certainly does more than Apple’s ultra-minimal white cord. The nylon-wrapped cord looks more like a taut hoodie cord than your everyday tech accessory, which not only adds to its durability but also gives it a unique appeal. The Lightning end of the cord is slim near the connector to ensure case compatibility, but tapers slightly further down for an easier grip. Meanwhile, the USB-A end, which plugs into your power adapter (not included), computer, or wherever, sticks to a simple, angled approach.
